I've gotten a surprising amount of feedback asking me to try making a digital scrapbooking kit. Well, I'd actually had this one in store since about September, but was worried it wasn't high enough quality.
So I decided to make this kit free. Yes, free! (This in compliance with peoples' requests for more freebies, as well — two birds with one stone.) Please, please, PLEASE read the Terms of Use (saved as the file "READ-ME") included, as they tell you exactly what you may and may not do with this kit.
I have a favor to ask you. If you make a scrapbook page or blog layout, would you link back here in a comment? I'd be ever so pleased to see what you make.
If you would like to purchase a Commercial Use license (which allows you to use this kit for other peoples' blog design, freebies, Scrap4Hire, etc.) just email me. Licenses are only $5.00 — that's a whole lot less than most peoples' prices.
Well, enjoy! Make sure to tell me what you think.
PS: An update on the survey...
Most people feel that the current look is too drab — and I agree! New look coming very, very soon.
Another thing is people feel that my posts are irregular... again, I agree. Changes will be made.
People want more freebies and tutorials. That will go along with the more regular/increased posts.
And finally, people keep saying "I'd never pay for a blog design, can't you make them free?"
NO, I cannot. Sorry. A lot of people have recently started buying designs from me, and that tells me that my work is high enough quality for people to think it's worth it.
And by the way, my prices are rather low. Compare with other designers. I'm right in the same ballpark, if not less.
So. Please stop asking that, OK? I can't make everything free. ;)
Awesome kit Olivia!
ReplyDeleteThat kit is wonderful, Olivia. I *L-O-V-E* just about everything you make!
ReplyDeleteI understand why you don't make your designs free. Hey, if I found a way to earn some money doing something that I enjoy doing, then I wouldn't make it free, either! I'm perfectly fine using your freebies on my blog.
Have a wonderful winter! I wish it came sooner but I guess I'll have to wait ;)
Sincerely,
~Brooke
P.S
The comment form message you have is great, but the signature is "Olive Tree", not "Olivia". Just thought I'd tell you!
Ohmigosh! Soo cute! Great job! :)
ReplyDeleteThe kit looks great Olivia!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the freebies, I've had the same responses to my recent survey. I just don't think people always realise how much time it takes to make the freebies and also how much expense - as once your bandwidth hits a certain level you have to start paying for metered services (which are not cheap). This year my blog made £10 in donations for freebies, yet it cost me more like £250. Making freebies is fun, but it *does* need to be on a schedule that works with you too. It's taken me until now to realise that! And like you said, your work is good quality. Whatever you charge/don't charge you won't be able to please everyone...that's another useful thing to remember :)
cute design!!! I love this kit- downloading it right now! oh and i don't blame you for not doing free designs I would never either! :] who has time to do that?
ReplyDeleteCooooool! And great new look Olivia!
